Boston Restaurant Talk and the Boston Herald report that a new boutique hotel complete with a high end eatery is coming to Bay Village. Darryl Settles of Darryl's Corner Bar & Kitchen on Columbus Avenue is involved with the project, which is supposed to break ground in the spring of 2012 and open by 2013, so... mark "2013" down in your calendars. The Herald reports that the South End Buttery scoped out the restaurant space but backed out due to impatience with the lengthy zoning process. Perhaps influences from Darryl's Corner Bar & Kitchen will yield yet another Northern-Southern hotspot along the lines of Hungry Mother, Tupelo and Redd's in Rozzie.
