Dore Creperie, a pop-up restaurant on Beacon Street near Government Center, will close its doors on November 19th. The hasty eatery was opened last June by a lawyer who saw his clients wrestle with the process of opening real restaurants; in 5 weeks Vilas Dhar had his ephemeral restaurant running out of a shuttered sandwich shop. A few smart moves, including a Bruins-inspired "black and gold" Nutella and banana crepe (which most creperies have but don't affiliate with a sports team), got business rolling for a restaurant that didn't bother to invest in such quaint, outdated practices as signage. Dore Creperie continues to serve until Saturday, November 19th. Dhar may slap together another pop-up in the future but has yet to confirm any details.
