SOUTH BOSTON - James Beard-winning Top Chef Master Jody Adams' new restaurant Trade opened its doors at the Waterfront this past weekend. Daily Candy rhapsodizes about the decor: "Enter through majestic pillars into a 200-seat, rustic-industrial space with touches new and old: whitewashed brick walls, tear-shaped pendants, thick marble counters. Ensconced leather booths invite intimate tete-a-tetes, while reclaimed-wood common tables encourage interparty fraternizing." BROOKLINE - Chef-owner Mark Kadish just announced plans to expand Sunset Cantina in Brookline. The restaurant and bar has one of the city's most elongated drink lists with 38 craft taps and over 100 tequilas. The expansion will add 20 new bar stools, making room for 40 more patrons, not including a new outdoor patio that accommodates another 35. And just in time for freak blizzard season! [BRT]
